Foam ceramic filter plate is one of AdTech’s main products. AdTech ceramic foam filter is an economical and convenient way to remove aluminum water inclusions. The main component is alumina, which is widely used in filtering aluminum water.
Performance of Ceramic Foam
1. High porosity. The porosity of foam ceramics is the highest among porous ceramics, and its porosity is up to 1.5 times that of honeycomb ceramics. It is precisely because of the high porosity of ceramic foam that its mesh size can be effectively controlled. Because in the process of molten metal filtration, different metal solutions have different requirements for the pore size of the filter plate, and the characteristics of foam ceramics can well meet specific needs.
2. High intensity. The strength of foam ceramics is determined by the thickness of its material and network framework. The thickness of the skeleton can be expressed by the bulk density of the foam ceramic. If the skeleton is made thicker, the bulk density can be increased and the mechanical strength of the product can be increased. However, if the increase is too much, the pores of the pores will be blocked by the slurry and the pressure loss will increase. At the same time, due to the three-dimensional structure of foam ceramics, its strength will not change in direction during the stress process.
3. Good thermal stability. When metal is melted and filtered, because the temperature of the working environment changes rapidly, the filter material has higher requirements in terms of thermal stability. The foam ceramic fittings can satisfy this point well, so foam ceramic filter plates are commonly used in the current metal melting filtration.
The surface chemical properties of the pores of the ceramic foam material and the size of the pores have a significant impact on the performance of the ceramic foam. The factors that determine the surface chemistry of the micropores include the composition and state of the ceramic and the surface treatment of the micropores. Among the size characteristics of the micropores, the diameter, distribution, form, and specific surface area of the micropores have a great influence on its filtration and separation performance.
AdTech ceramic foam filter plate process is complicated, no matter it is the component materials of the product, the manufacturing equipment or the inspection of the product, higher requirements are required to ensure the quality of the product. It takes 5 or 6 hours for a filter plate to go from material to finished product. Each step is inspected by monitoring equipment and professionals.
AdTech ceramic foam filter plate is made of advanced inorganic membranes, the pore size is between 0.5 and 5 microns, and the available size is from 7″ to 26″, and the through hole size is 20ppi to 80ppi. It is composed of numerous micropores evenly distributed and has good water permeability. When the fluid flows through these small holes and mineral particles, it is guaranteed to pass through the surface of the filter medium. There is an aluminum silicate gasket around it, which is used to seal the contact part of the filter plate and the filter box to ensure that there is no side flow of aluminum liquid.
